Bangladesh Army honors officers with promotions on Victory Day

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate under the Ministry of Defence, in celebration of the Great Victory Day and National Day, the Bangladesh Army has conferred honorary commissions on deserving personnel, recognizing their dedicated service and contributions.

A total of fifty Master Warrant Officers have been promoted to Honorary Lieutenant, while twenty-four Honorary Lieutenants have been elevated to Honorary Captain. This honorary commission, approved by the Ministry of Defence, will be effective from December 16, 2024.

The promotions cover personnel from various corps of the Bangladesh Army, reflecting the diversity of expertise within the force. Among those promoted to Honorary Lieutenant are Master Warrant Officers from Artillery, Engineers, Signals, the Bengal Regiment, Army Service Corps (ASC), Army Medical Corps (AMC), and other key branches. The recipients include individuals like Mohammad Kajal Mia, Md. Saheb Ali, Md.

Bellal Hossain, and Golam Mostafa, whose dedication has been recognized through these prestigious appointments, the press release said.

Similarly, the twenty-four Honorary Lieutenants promoted to the rank of Honorary Captain represent exceptional contributions across different corps. These promotions include individuals such as Md. Abdul Khaleq, Md. Harunur Rashid, Md. Ahsan Habib, and Md. Rezaun Nabi, among others. Their elevation to a higher rank highlights their leadership qualities and sustained service excellence, This information was also highlighted in the press release.
