Indian police file case against BJP leader for making provocative remarks on Bangladesh.
The police of the country have filed a case against former Deputy Chief Minister of the Indian state of Karnataka and expelled BJP leader KS Eshwarappa. The case was filed on charges of making provocative remarks on Bangladesh.
The case was filed on Friday (December 6) by the Kote police station in Shivamogga district of Karnataka. He made provocative remarks on Bangladesh at a rally on Thursday.
A video footage of that speech has also been circulated on social media. After that, he was accused of spreading religious hatred. The Kote police station in Shivamogga district of Congress-ruled Karnataka filed the case on Friday after the rally.
Another case was filed against the leader on November 16 for allegedly threatening Muslims and making provocative remarks. Earlier this year, India’s ruling BJP expelled Eshwarappa for six years for contesting as a rebel candidate from the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat.
Since the fall of the government of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Indian government has been issuing one statement after another about the alleged attacks on Hindus in Demti.
